Continue the Gesture
A medal received as a free gift. An invitation to share, in complete freedom.
This medal was given to you to introduce you to St Jude and invite you to turn to Christ.
You may simply receive it. You have nothing to give back, nothing to pay, and no action to take in return.
If you would like to continue this gesture, there are several ways to do so: pray for someone, share a word of hope, offer an act of service, or support a cause that matters to you.

The medals are always given freely, never sold
Being freely given is central to the meaning of Saint Jude Medals.
The medals distributed through this initiative are completely free, with nothing expected in return.
No payment, donation, purchase, or contribution toward expenses is required to receive a medal. You do not have to register, publish a testimonial, explain your situation, or demonstrate your faith.
The number of medals available may limit their distribution. This does not change our commitment: a medal offered by Saint Jude Medals will never become a medal for sale.
The forms of support presented below are entirely separate from the distribution of medals. They do not give anyone priority in receiving a medal.
You may simply keep your medal
Receiving a gift does not create a debt.
You are free to wear your medal, keep it respectfully, and discover its meaning at your own pace. You may take time to reflect, even if you do not yet know what place prayer has in your life.
You are under no obligation to continue the gesture. The kindness shown to you remains complete, whatever your response.
Pray for someone
Continuing the gesture can begin in silence.
You can entrust to God someone close to you, someone who is ill, someone going through a trial, or someone whose loneliness you are aware of.
A few words are enough:
Lord Jesus, I entrust this person to you. Grant them the help they need, and help me to show them care. St Jude, pray for them.
You do not need to tell anyone about their situation or make this prayer public.
Pray with St Jude
Offer your presence and a word of hope
A phone call, a visit, a listening ear, or an act of service can carry forward the intention behind this gift.
The aim is not to find an explanation for every form of suffering. Sometimes, simply being present and acknowledging what another person is going through is already valuable.
You may speak about St Jude if the person is willing to listen. Respect their beliefs, their questions, and their choice not to engage. Faith must always be proposed freely.
Avoid promising healing, a miracle, or the resolution of a problem. You may share what helps you without claiming to know what will happen to someone else.
If you have found these pages helpful, you may share the link or QR code with someone who might be interested.
They will be able to learn about St Jude, understand the meaning of a Catholic medal, or find a prayer, freely and at no cost.
There is no required number of people to contact, no message to copy, and no deadline to meet. No benefit depends on sharing this site, and choosing not to share it will not bring misfortune.
Give your medal to someone else
You may keep your medal. You may also choose to give it to someone who would like to receive it.
If you do, pass it on with the same freedom: without asking for money, a service, a donation, or a promise in return.
Simply explain what it represents. For example:
“This medal depicts St Jude, an apostle of Jesus Christ. It was given to me, and I would like to give it to you in turn, if you would like to receive it. You owe me nothing in return.”
Leave the person free to accept or decline. If you know that the medal has been blessed, you may say so. If you do not know, simply say that.
You do not have to part with your medal to show generosity. Prayer, thoughtful attention, and acts of service are also ways to share.
If you would like to offer financial support
Some people may also wish to continue the gesture through a financial contribution. This is entirely optional and is never expected in return for a medal.
You may choose one of the following options, support another cause that matters to you, or give nothing at all. You are not asked to contribute to all three.
Help fund future medals
You may wish to help other people receive a free medal as well.
Contributions will be used to order medals intended to be given away and to cover their delivery. Any fundraising or payment-processing fees will be disclosed separately. No funds will be used to compensate the person leading the initiative or to cover personal expenses.
Before any fundraising campaign opens, we will explain how the financial report can be viewed and how often it will be updated.
A contribution is not a purchase or a reservation. No donation entitles anyone to an additional medal, priority in distribution, or any spiritual benefit.
Future medals will remain completely free for those who receive them.
Support the church where you received your medal
If your medal was given to you at a church, you may choose to support that community directly, according to its needs and the methods it provides.
For example, you may place an offering in a collection box designated for the church, give an offering to a priest while specifying its purpose, or make a bank transfer using the official account information provided by the parish.
If you are unsure, simply ask at the church office or speak with a person in charge about how to proceed.
This donation goes directly to the church. Saint Jude Medals does not collect it on the church’s behalf and receives no portion of it.
It is neither payment for the medal nor payment for its blessing. You may receive the medal without making an offering.
Support a charitable organization
You may also choose an organization that feeds people in need, shelters people experiencing homelessness, or supports those going through difficult circumstances.
The organization may be connected with St Jude or work in another setting. The intention is to support practical assistance that respects the dignity of every person.
When organizations are presented on this page, their mission and official links will be provided after verification. You will be free to learn about their work and how they use their resources before deciding.
Donations will be made directly to these organizations. Saint Jude Medals will not collect the funds or receive any commission.
You also remain free to support a local nonprofit or another charitable organization of your choice.
Give freely, without pressure
Whatever the destination of a possible donation, you do not have to send us proof or justify the amount.
A financial contribution cannot purchase grace, healing, or an answer to prayer. It does not make anyone more worthy of receiving a medal or asking for St Jude’s intercession.
Protect the resources you and your loved ones need. You should not put yourself in financial difficulty in order to participate.
Prayer, time, listening, and service all have a full place in this initiative. Giving money is not necessary in order to continue the gesture.
Let the gesture bear fruit
You do not need to do anything grand.
A medal can recall an encounter. A prayer can accompany a difficult day. An act of care can help someone feel less alone.
If you would like to continue the gesture, do so according to your means, with respect and without imposing anything. And if you simply choose to receive this gift, you are completely free to do so.
The medal is given to you freely. You owe nothing in return.
Through St Jude, lead hearts to Christ.
